<p>Heavy snow has caused problems across Europe.</p>
<p>Lyon-Bron airport in south-eastern France, and Geneva, Switzerland&#8217;s second biggest airport, are closed as staff struggle to clear the runways.</p>
<p>Zurich airport has reported delays and cancellations on the day many VIPs, including former US President Bill Clinton and the Spanish Prime Minister are travelling to Fifa&#8217;s headquarters to push their countries&#8217; bids to host the 2018 and 2022 World Cups.</p>
<p>The presence of so many private jets in Zurich means the airport has had to turn down requests for diverted landings.</p>
<p>&#8220;We don&#8217;t have any free space at the moment,&#8221; a spokeswoman said.</p>
<p>The European air traffic control authority Eurocontrol also reported severe delays at Berlin&#8217;s Tegel airport and in northern Spain.</p>
<p>Geneva airport will be closed until at least Wednesday afternoon, a spokesman said.</p>
<p>Swiss weather agency Meteosuisse has forecast more snowfall throughout the day as a low-pressure front centred over western Europe moves slowly eastward.</p>
