<p>A leading Iranian human rights lawyer has been jailed for 11 years after being convicted of security offences.</p>
<p>Nasrin Sotoudeh was arrested in September, and supporters say she was held in solitary confinement and staged hunger strikes.</p>
<p>State media said last month she was accused of spreading propaganda against the ruling system.</p>
<p>Ms Sotoudeh represented several of the more than 100 activists and political figures tried on charges of fomenting unrest after Iran&#8217;s disputed presidential election in June 2009.</p>
<p>Her husband Reza Khandan said he had learned from her lawyers on Monday that she had been found guilty. He said the ruling also bars her from working as a lawyer for 20 years and from travelling abroad.</p>
