		</div><p>J.K. Rowling&#8217;s Cormoran Strike crime novels are being made into a TV series.</p>
<p>The BBC has announced its plans to adapt The Cormoran Strike Mysteries &#8211; which were written by Rowling under her pseudonym Robert Galbraith &#8211; for a new TV drama</p>
<p>&#8216;The Cuckoo&#8217;s Calling&#8217;, &#8216;The Silkworm&#8217; and the yet to be released &#8216;Career of Evil&#8217; &#8211; which is set to go on sale next month &#8211; will air on BBC One this autumn although no cast announcements have so far been made.</p>
<p>The series will follow the books&#8217; main character, army veteran Cormoran Strike who lost his leg in the Afghan war and is now working as a private detective in London.</p>
<p>Strike works tirelessly on his cases with the help of his secretary Robin Venetia Ellacott.</p>
<p>Screenwriter Sarah Phelps &#8211; who adapted Rowling&#8217;s novel &#8216;The Casual Vacancy&#8217; for the BBC earlier this year &#8211; will help Rowling bring &#8216;The Cuckoo&#8217;s Calling&#8217; to life while Ben Richards is on board to adapt &#8216;The Silkworm&#8217;.</p>
<p>Speaking about the BBC&#8217;s fall and winter season at an event hosted by BBC Director General Tony Hall on the set of new BBC One drama &#8216;Dickensian&#8217;, BBC One Controller Charlotte Moore said: &#8220;BBC One&#8217;s commitment to ambitious and pioneering television like this is unrivaled &#8230; I hope you will be blown away by the range, the quality and the extraordinary lineup. It demonstrates a channel that&#8217;s distinctive, best in class, and at the top of its game, raising the bar of what British television can offer.&#8221;</p>
