<p>James Franco has joked that he had planned to sing Cher&#8217;s You Haven&#8217;t Seen the Last of Me at the Oscars, but that the number has been cut from the show.</p>
<p>The 127 Hours actor claimed that he&#8217;s upset &#8220;for me and Cher.&#8221;</p>
<p>The best actor nominee and Oscar co-host posted an audio clip on Twitter of him rehearsing the tune from Cher&#8217;s recent film, Burlesque. The recording is rough and at times off-key. James himself is heard describing his voice as &#8220;a little growly.&#8221;</p>
<p>His co-host, Anne Hathaway, says James &#8220;has a lovely singing voice,&#8221; but she would not confirm whether they will perform any musical numbers together on the show.</p>
<p>The Academy Awards take place this Sunday.</p>
