<p>A Premiership footballer will not face charges over the alleged rape of a teenage girl, police have said.</p>
<p>Bolton Wanderers forward Ivan Klasnic was arrested by police last October after they received reports a 17-year-old girl had been raped at an apartment in Manchester city centre.</p>
<p>Klasnic, an international with Croatia, was not at the address when officers arrived, shortly before 5am on Monday October 25 last year.</p>
<p>The 30-year-old was arrested some time later and bailed while officers from Greater Manchester Police (GMP) investigated the allegation.</p>
<p>Mr Klasnic answered bail at a local police station on November 1 and it was extended until February 1, then further extended until April.</p>
<p>But GMP confirmed that following their investigation he will not face any charges.</p>
<p>A force spokesman said: &#8220;A 30-year-old man arrested on suspicion of rape will face no further action.&#8221;</p>
