		</div><p>Noel Gallagher, the Manic Street Preachers, and Bob Geldof’s Boomtown Rats will take to the stage on the last day of the Latitude Festival today.</p>
<p>There were showers overnight but the ground remained firm as more than 30,000 festival-goers woke up to sunshine at the site in Henham Park, Suffolk.</p>
<p>Along with the big name headliners, other highlights today included a performance by a choir assembled by celebrity choirmaster Gareth Malone over the course of the three-day event.</p>
<p>This year is the 10th anniversary of the festival and it has already featured surprise performances by Suffolk-raised singer songwriter Ed Sheeran and Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke.</p>
<p>There are strong rumours of a third surprise big name making an appearance today.</p>

<p>Last night, Portishead used their headline set to launch an unflinching protest against the Conservative Government, beaming images of David Cameron with demon-like blue eyes across a crowd of thousands.</p>
<p>The trip hop pioneers, who first found fame during the early 90s when the last all-Tory government was in power, accompanied their song Machine Gun with images of protest featuring placards bearing the slogan “Stop Tory Cuts”.</p>
<p>At the end of the sequence, which was received with laughs and cheers from the crowd, the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament logo rose into shot on the Obelisk Arena’s three huge screens while the band hammered out uncompromising electronica.</p>
<p>The seven musicians also received big applause for early career classics including Wandering Star and Sour Times.</p>
<p>They brought proceedings on the festival’s main stage to a close, but hardy festival-goers made a dash for the woods straight afterwards in the hope of catching the early hours intimate and unannounced show by Thom Yorke at the iArena.</p>
