<p>Millions of German TV viewers saw a man seriously injure himself trying to jump over a car on a live show.</p>
<p>Samuel Koch, 23, suffered multiple spinal injuries in the stunt using special spring-powered stilts for the Wetten Dass? (Wanna Bet?) programme.</p>
<p>Dusseldorf University Clinic said he was in stable condition and was being slowly brought out of a medically induced coma on Monday.</p>
<p>It said it was too early to say whether Mr Koch would be paralysed.</p>
<p>German public broadcaster ZDF said it would continue with the programme, which has attracted audiences for 30 years without incident.</p>
<p>Around eight million viewers were watching Saturday&#8217;s episode at the time of the accident.</p>
