<p>A man has been arrested in Philadelphia over the serial strangling of three women in the wake of DNA evidence.</p>
<p>Police say 21-year-old Antonio Rodriguez was taken into custody on an unrelated bench warrant after someone phoned in a tip. </p>
<p>The announcement came shortly after a news conference at which Captain James Clark said Rodriguez was being sought as a person of interest in the case.</p>
<p>Rodriguez is currently being held in custody.</p>
<p>Captain Clark says Rodriguez has not been charged with the stranglings, but he did describe a DNA link made by state police in their offender database as &#8220;a major break in the case&#8221;.</p>
<p>Rodriguez was being sought on a bench warrant from a missed court appearance in an unrelated case.</p>
