<p>Masked gunmen have shot dead a mother protesting outside the governor&#8217;s office in northern Mexico to demand justice for her murdered daughter.</p>
<p>State prosecutor Jorge Gonzalez says the three men pulled up in a car and shot Marisela Escobedo Ortiz.</p>
<p>Ms Escobedo had been protesting for three days in front of the governor&#8217;s palace in Chihuahua.</p>
<p>She had been campaigning for justice over the killing of her teenage daughter after a judge cleared the main suspect in April.</p>
<p>Seventeen-year-old Rubi Frayre Escobedo&#8217;s body was found dismembered and burned in 2008. Her live-in boyfriend had been charged with her murder.</p>
