<p>Perez Hilton insists Lady Gaga is the best pop icon we&#8217;ve had since Madonna.</p>
<p>&#8220;I think Gaga has done what nobody since Madonna was able to do and that is inspire the world, excite the world and challenge the world,&#8221; the celebrity blogger insisted.</p>
<p>The gossip junkie, who&#8217;s also a close friend to the singer, helped reveal her new wax figure at Madame Tussauds Hollywood &#8211; one of eight that came on display to fans around the world on the same day.</p>
<p>&#8220;The testament is right here today, there are people showing up dressed in their favourite Gaga outfits,&#8221; Perez said of the Poker Face star&#8217;s popularity.</p>
<p>&#8220;She&#8217;s very inspiring as a person on a personal level, whenever I&#8217;m around her I just feel like I want to do everything,&#8221; he revealed.</p>
<p>&#8220;We talk about music a lot and what she&#8217;s doing, it&#8217;s really special, I&#8217;ve known her for three years,&#8221; Perez explained.</p>
<p>Perez has also been keeping his eye on gossip on this side of the Atlantic, and is especially excited about the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.</p>
<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m already talking about Wills and Kate,&#8221; the celebrity blogger admitted, adding that the big topics of debate were &#8220;who Harry will take to the wedding, who&#8217;s going to perform&#8221;.</p>
<p>He added: &#8220;Personally I think it should be Elton (John) of course and Leona Lewis, I&#8217;d love Leona to perform!&#8221;</p>
