		</div><p>Prince was rushed to hospital after his plane made an emergency landing, according to reports.</p>
<p>The music superstar performed in Atlanta, Georgia on Thursday night but hours later, his private jet reportedly made an unscheduled landing at Quad City International Airport in Illinois.</p>
<p>A spokesman for the singer told the website TMZ that Prince had been fighting flu for several weeks and he became unwell on the plane.</p>
<p>The 57-year-old was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment but released three hours later and is now at home, the spokesman said.</p>
<p>Fans of the Purple Rain star were quick to express their relief that his condition was not serious after his name began trending on Twitter.</p>
