		</div><p>Hot Chili Peppers are currently mixing their new album.</p>
<p>The &#8216;Can&#8217;t Stop&#8217; rockers are working with Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich on their first studio album since 2011&#8217;s &#8216;I&#8217;m with You&#8217; and drummer Chad Smith has shared a picture of himself with Nigel &#8211; affectionately known as &#8220;the sixth Radiohead member&#8221; &#8211; getting down to work mixing the LP.</p>
<p>Alongside the photo posted on his personal Twitter account on Monday (21.03.16), he wrote: &#8220;Started Mixing the new record today!@nigelgod at the helm (sic)&#8221;</p>
<p>This could mean that Thom Yorke&#8217;s band, who also have a new album pending, could have completed their own record as Nigel is now preoccupied with the Red Hot Chili Peppers&#8217; songs.</p>
<p>Bassist Flea &#8211; who is joined by Chad, Anthony Kiedis and Josh Klinghoffer in the band &#8211; has previously claimed their eagerly-anticipated 11th studio album takes them into a &#8220;new era&#8221;.</p>
<p>He said: &#8220;We&#8217;re heading into a new era and we&#8217;re really excited. It&#8217;s new and different but without sacrificing the good bits of us. There are some songs we already had, and some new ones too. I can&#8217;t wait to play it live.&#8221;</p>
<p>While there is no release date for the album it looks like they could have some new material to perform when they headline this year&#8217;s Reading and Leeds Festivals, where they will make a UK exclusive live return on the weekend of August 26 to August 28.</p>
