<p>Rihanna took her ethos of &#8216;celebrating individuality&#8217; to the extreme as she left fans waiting for hours at a public appearance to promote her perfume in LA.</p>
<p> Hundreds of the star&#8217;s biggest fans groaned as they were told about delays to the singer&#8217;s autograph signing at Macy&#8217;s in Lakewood, which appeared to be hampered by poor weather and bad traffic.</p>
<p>When the 23-year-old Umbrella singer eventually arrived, she appeared chirpy and full of energy as she emerged to screaming crowds which packed out the department store.</p>
<p>Wearing a gold and cream mini-skirt paired with a matching long-sleeved crop top the young star danced along to her own music and hugged fans who joined her on stage for photos to promote her fragrance Reb&#8217;l Fleur.</p>
<p>&#8220;This fragrance is about my passion for individuality &#8211; being expressive and empowering, yes, but also emotional and intriguing. I wear my fragrance, I don&#8217;t let it wear me,&#8221; Rihanna said.</p>
<p> &#8220;I believe a woman should dare to be different &#8211; willing to live her life for herself and not for other people,&#8221; she added.</p>
<p>The Barbadian singer&#8217;s scent includes hints of red berries, plum, peach, Hawaiian hibiscus flower, coconut water, amber and musk.</p>
