<p>Actor Rip Torn has pleaded guilty to charges stemming from allegations he broke into a Connecticut bank while drunk and armed, prosecutors said.</p>
<p>The veteran actor, who has appeared in movies such as Men In Black and The Beastmaster, was arrested in January after police found him inside the Litchfield Bancorp with a loaded revolver.</p>
<p>State&#8217;s attorney David Shepack said the Emmy Award-winning actor pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment, criminal trespass, criminal mischief and the illegal carrying of a firearm.</p>
<p>The 80-year-old actor was given a two years and six months suspended sentence and three years of probation. Conditions include a ban on firearm possession and random drug and alcohol tests.</p>
<p>A defence lawyer said Torn was thankful no one was injured and he did not end up in jail.</p>
<p>Torn won an Emmy in 1996 for his work on The Larry Sanders Show.</p>
