<p>Geoffrey Rush thinks the Queen&#8217;s reaction to The King&#8217;s Speech should be put on the film&#8217;s promotional poster.</p>
<p>&#8220;We have heard, reputedly from The Sun newspaper, that she saw The King&#8217;s Speech and was moved,&#8221;&#8216; the Australian actor joked at Monday&#8217;s Oscar Nominees Luncheon.</p>
<p>&#8220;Colin [Firth] and I were just saying, &#8216;Will that go on the poster? Dazzling &#8211; New York Times. Moved &#8211; Her Majesty,&#8221; he laughed.</p>
<p>Geoffrey, who plays King George&#8217;s speech therapist in the film, said he wasn&#8217;t sure if he believed reports that the Monarch had seen the movie, which is one of the Oscar front-runners for Best Picture.</p>
<p>&#8220;We&#8217;ve been joking that the Queen is probably on Netflix and she&#8217;s got a whole back up list of The Madness of King George and Alfred The Great and gets them out every couple of months,&#8221; he laughed.</p>
<p>Geoffrey joined 19 of the 20 nominated actors at the luncheon, held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills. Only Christian Bale, nominated for Best Supporting Actor for The Fighter, was a no show as he is currently filming in China.</p>
<p>The nominees lunched on marinated black cod with white wine parmesan sauce, and tomato gnocchi, with a quartet of desserts including raspberry sorbet in cookie shell and lemon meringue tart with blueberries.</p>
