		</div><p>Singer-songwriter Sam Smith has recorded the theme song for the hotly anticipated new Bond movie Spectre.</p>
<p>The track, called Writing on the Wall, will be released on September 25. The movie will be released in Ireland and the UK on October 26 and in the US on November 6.</p>
<p>Confirming the long-standing rumour this morning, Smith said recording the song was one of the highlights of his career.</p>
<p>Smith co-wrote the song with fellow Grammy winner Jimmy Napes. It is the first James Bond theme song recorded by a British male solo artist since 1965.</p>
<p>One of film fans&#8217; favourite Bonds, Roger Moore, tweeted the news this morning without comment.</p>
