<p>Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds have been spotted enjoying a meal together as friends.</p>
<p>The couple, who announced earlier this month they had decided to end their two year marriage, were seen smiling and laughing as they caught up over dinner at the Blue Ribbon restaurant in New York, People reports.</p>
<p>A source said: &#8220;They just wanted to connect and have a friendly chat.</p>
<p>&#8220;They just wanted to sit down together. The tone was light and fun despite the untruths that the media is working up. They aren&#8217;t reconciling. This was just two people who were married being civil and friendly.&#8221;</p>
<p>Scarlett had just returned from a trip to Jamaica with girlfriends and Ryan was in town for a photo shoot during a break from filming in Atlanta.</p>
<p>The 26-year-old actress and the 34-year-old actor married in 2008.</p>
<p>Scarlett recently appeared in Iron Man 2. Ryan stars in Green Lantern, set for release next year.</p>
