<p>David Schwimmer is to become a father for the first time.</p>
<p>The former Friends star, 44, and his new wife, British photographer Zoe Buckman, are expecting their first child, and David&#8217;s spokesperson told People.com that the couple &#8220;couldn&#8217;t be more thrilled&#8221;.</p>
<p>David, who has moved into film directing, met Zoe in London in 2007, when he was shooting Run Fatboy Run.</p>
<p>They announced their engagement last March, and tied the knot during an intimate ceremony in June.</p>
<p>David previously spoke about his desire to become a father, but in good time.</p>
<p>&#8220;I think it&#8217;s gonna have to wait until I settle down,&#8221; he has said.</p>
<p>&#8220;It will happen when it feels right. Maybe part of me is waiting for myself to slow down a little and be ready to stay put. I&#8217;m confident it&#8217;s gonna happen.&#8221;</p>
