<p>The SNP has become the first political party to hit online music stores with a specially commissioned pop song.</p>
<p>The party said it is the first to put together a music video and put it on music store iTunes.</p>
<p>Edinburgh band Jackil were asked to record a version of American blues singer Wilbert Harrison&#8217;s Let&#8217;s Work Together as part of the SNP&#8217;s Holyrood election campaign.</p>
<p>It features the band performing the track, with a montage of Scots, including nurses, a fisherman and a young girl, singing along with the lyrics.</p>
<p>A clip of SNP leader Alex Salmond appears towards the end, as he urges viewers to &#8220;be part of better&#8221; and &#8220;work together to set Scotland on the right path&#8221;.</p>
<p>The song is available for 99p on 15 online music stores including iTunes.</p>
<p>SNP campaign director Angus Robertson MP said there had been &#8220;a lot of interest&#8221; in the song since it was first played at the party&#8217;s conference in October.</p>
<p>He said he hoped it would help the party &#8220;connect with voters of all ages and all interests&#8221;.</p>
<p>He said: &#8220;This has never been done by a political party in Scotland or in the UK.</p>
<p>&#8220;Jackil have recorded a brilliant and very contagious track. Putting it online for download allows anyone to take the message that we can make Scotland better if we work together with them wherever they go.&#8221;</p>
