<p>Steven Spielberg is unrepentant for scaring swimmers out of the sea with Jaws.</p>
<p>Speaking backstage at the Critics Choice Awards, the filmmaker wouldn&#8217;t accept any responsibility for frightening a generation with his classic movies.</p>
<p>&#8220;I have a feeling that before Jaws came along there was some concern about sharks in the water from swimmers and surfers,&#8221; the 64-year-old laughed.</p>
<p>He went on: &#8220;What did we do? We kind of jumped on a subject that was already a nerve to be hit since it had been hit so many times before for hundreds of years. I don&#8217;t really take much responsibility for that, except to say I do love sharks!&#8221;</p>
<p>The legendary movie maker picked up Best Picture Made For Television as executive producer on The Pacific.</p>
<p>Steven revealed that his next two projects are polar opposites.</p>
<p>&#8220;The next films? I&#8217;m mounting two productions &#8211; Robopocalypse and Lincoln,&#8221; he revealed.</p>
