<p>Parts of western Hungary and the capital, Budapest, have been shaken by an earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale, rescue officials said.</p>
<p>The tremor is the strongest in the country since 1985.</p>
<p>The National Disaster Management Agency said no injuries had been reported.</p>
<p>Buildings are understood to have suffered minor damage, including small cracks and falling plasterwork.</p>
<p>The mayor&#8217;s office said bridges and underpasses would be inspected to ensure their safety.</p>
<p>The quake was centred near the town of Oroszlany, 44 miles west of Budapest.</p>
