<p>Organisers of the Berlin International Film Festival have unveiled the 22 top movies scheduled for this year&#8217;s event.</p>
<p>Of the headlining films, sixteen are competing for the top Golden Bear award at the ten-day fixture, the first of the year&#8217;s major European film festivals.</p>
<p>Among the programme is the Coen brothers&#8217; western True Grit, The Prize, directed by Argentinian Paula Markovitch, and Ralph Fiennes&#8217; directorial debut Coriolanus, which stars Ralph alongside fellow British actors Vanessa Redgrave and Gerard Butler.</p>
<p>&#8220;There&#8217;s a bit of appetite for discovery in this, of course, for seeing something different &#8211; different approaches to how young people, above all, make films,&#8221; festival director Dieter Kosslick said.</p>
<p>Berlin&#8217;s Golden Bear has often gone to relatively unheralded productions such as last year&#8217;s winner, Turkish director Semih Kaplanoglu&#8217;s Honey. This year, the choice will be made by a jury led by actress Isabella Rossellini.</p>
<p>The festival, from February 10 to 20, also features two 3D films for the first time &#8211; French director Michel Ocelot&#8217;s Tales of the Night and Wim Wenders&#8217; Pina, a tribute to the late German choreographer Pina Bausch.</p>
<p>US entries include J.C. Chandor&#8217;s finance thriller Margin Call, featuring Kevin Spacey and Demi Moore, and actress-filmmaker Miranda July&#8217;s second movie as a director, the relationship tale The Future.</p>
<p>All together, almost 400 films will be screened during the festival.</p>
