<p>Danny Trejo wants to up the ante and sign 007 for the Machete sequel.</p>
<p>&#8220;Sean Connery maybe, it&#8217;d have to be someone unbelievable!&#8221; the actor laughed when talking about who his dream cast would be for the follow up to the B movie-style hit.</p>
<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s going to be unbelievable. I know it man, Robert [Rodriguez] has a way of out doing himself,&#8221; the actor insisted whilst promoting his new movie Death Race 2.</p>
<p>&#8220;I asked Robert &#8216;what about Machete Kills? When are you going to write it?&#8217; and he said &#8216;it&#8217;s wrote&#8217; so we&#8217;re just waiting for the right time,&#8221; Danny explained.</p>
<p>He went on: &#8220;Everybody kept saying that I was the lead and I was like &#8216;How do you call yourself the lead when Robert De Niro is in this movie?&#8217; </p>
<p>All these people are iconic and so when De Niro came on the scene, because I had done Heat with him years before, he went &#8216;Hey you, it&#8217;s your leading role!&#8217; and I looked him right in the eyes and I said &#8216;Can I get you some coffee Mr De Niro?&#8217; What are you going to say? He&#8217;s an amazing man.&#8221;</p>
<p>The actor added: &#8220;Robert Rodriguez has this way of bringing people together and I think Death Race 2 did the same thing &#8211; it brought all these people that just really fit.&#8221;</p>
<p>Brit actors Luke Goss and Sean Bean star alongside Danny in Death Race 2, a prequel to both the 1975 film Death Race 2000 and Jason Statham&#8217;s 2008 Death Race.</p>
<p>:: Death Race 2 is out on DVD and Blu-ray today (Dec 27).</p>
