<p>The former headteacher and deputy head of a school at the centre of claims of financial mismanagement have been arrested.</p>
<p>Sir Alan Davies, 64, former head of Copland Community School in Wembley, north-west London, is understood to have been arrested in relation to conspiracy to defraud the school.</p>
<p>Dr Richard Evans, 53, the former deputy head, is understood to have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud.</p>
<p>A 50-year-old woman is also being held on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud and theft.</p>
<p>Scotland Yard said the arrests were in connection with an investigation into the alleged misappropriation of funds at Copland School.</p>
<p>All three are being interviewed at police stations in north-west London.</p>
<p>In January last year, Scotland Yard announced it was considering whether to launch a full criminal inquiry into allegations of financial mismanagement at the school.</p>
<p>It came after claims from a teacher at Copland that almost £1 million in bonuses had been paid to the senior leadership team over a period of seven years.</p>
