<p>A 14-year-old boy who was found at a Tyne and Wear house with fatal stab wounds has been named by police.</p>
<p>Officers found seriously injured Jordan Cooper, of Newriggs, in the Fatfield area of Washington, at his home at 12.15am, Northumbria Police said.</p>
<p>He was taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital where he was pronounced dead 90 minutes later.</p>
<p>Police said a relative had been arrested.</p>
<p>A 31-year-old man was held after the stabbing as police launched a murder investigation.</p>
<p>Acting Chief Superintendent Alan Veitch said: &#8220;This is a tragic loss and our thoughts are with the family and friends of the boy. A man has been arrested and is in police custody.</p>
<p>&#8220;This was an isolated incident that has happened inside the house, between two people who knew each other. They&#8217;re relatives and we&#8217;re not looking for anyone else in connection with this death.&#8221;</p>
<p>A post-mortem examination was expected to be carried out on Tuesday.</p>
<p>A neighbour said the dead boy lived with his grandmother in the house where he died.</p>
<p>The mother-of-two, who has a son the same age, said: &#8220;It&#8217;s awful when you have seen him as a little lad, kicking a ball around in the street. He might not have had a great start in life but he deserved a life.&#8221;</p>
