<p>Anne Hathaway has said she is still on board the forthcoming Judy Garland biopic.</p>
<p>The Golden Globe-nominated star has been tipped to play the famed screen legend in the big-screen adaptation of Gerald Clarke&#8217;s biography, Get Happy: The Life Of Judy Garland.</p>
<p>She told BBC Radio 4&#8217;s Front Row that everyone wants to ensure the film does Judy justice, saying: &#8220;It&#8217;s a very sensitive project and there have been so many stories told about her life that we&#8217;re really trying to get it right. So we&#8217;re taking our time with it.&#8221;</p>
<p>Anne added: &#8220;I know it seems like it&#8217;s sort of an endless process but it&#8217;s very, very slow incremental steps. I had a meeting about it a couple of weeks ago and we&#8217;re all very motivated.&#8221;</p>
<p>Gerald&#8217;s biography covers the tragic singer&#8217;s life extensively, including her battle with drug addiction, her relationship with pushy stage mother Ethel, multiple marriages and infidelity.</p>
<p>Anne &#8211; who next stars alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in Love And Other Drugs &#8211; hopes the production kicks off within the next two years, and might be showcasing her vocal talent.</p>
<p>&#8220;I certainly don&#8217;t sing like Judy Garland but the talk is to have me do the singing,&#8221; she continued. </p>
<p>&#8220;But I think people might cry murder if they don&#8217;t get to hear Judy&#8217;s beloved voice so the talk is for me to sing but I don&#8217;t know if that&#8217;s exactly what will happen.&#8221;</p>
