<p>Steve Martin will release his second bluegrass album in the US in March.</p>
<p>The actor said he wrote some of the new record, Rare Bird Alert, on the set of his upcoming film The Big Year.</p>
<p>The 13 track album features impressive guest stars, with Sir Paul McCartney singing one song and the Dixie Chicks performing another.</p>
<p>Steve, 65, also penned a few of the new tracks while touring with the Steep Canyon Rangers, a bluegrass quintet who back him on the latest album.</p>
<p>Rare Bird Alert will be out March 15. Steve and his band will support the album with a national tour of the States beginning in May.</p>
