<p>A man and a woman have been arrested in connection with the &#8220;unexplained&#8221; death of a baby.</p>
<p>Police said the infant was admitted with injuries to the Horton General Hospital in Banbury, Oxfordshire, on November 5.</p>
<p>The child was pronounced dead at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford on Friday evening.</p>
<p>Detective Chief Inspector Joe Kidman, leading the investigation for Thames Valley Police, said: &#8220;We are in the early stages of a detailed investigation to establish how this child died.&#8221;</p>
<p>A spokesman for the force said that a man and a woman were arrested in connection with the incident and have been bailed pending further inquiries.</p>
<p>He added that no further details of the child or the suspects would be released at this stage because of &#8220;identification issues&#8221;.</p>
