<p>Taylor Lautner is to star in the big screen adaptation of young adult fantasy novel Incarceron.</p>
<p>The Twilight heartthrob will play the hero who escapes from incarceration after living his entire life in a futuristic prison, rescuing the warden&#8217;s daughter and taking her with him, Deadline reports.</p>
<p>Taylor will star as Finn, who has lived his entire life on Incarceron, a savage, futuristic prison society in Fox&#8217;s big screen version of Catherine Fisher&#8217;s book.</p>
<p>He meets the daughter of the warden, who is trapped in her own prison, a futuristic world constructed beautifully to look like the 17th Century.</p>
<p>She and Finn simultaneously find a crystal key that allows them to communicate and hatch an escape plan for Finn.</p>
<p>Taylor, 18, is tipped to become a producer on the project.</p>
<p>Adam Cooper and Bill Collage, who were involved in writing Brett Ratner&#8217;s ensemble comedy Tower Heist are adapting the book into a screenplay.</p>
<p>Taylor, famous for playing werewolf Jacob Black in the Twilight Saga, adapted from Stephenie Meyer&#8217;s hit young adult books, is currently shooting the final instalment in the series, Breaking Dawn, which will be shown in two parts.</p>
<p>He is also due to appear in thriller Abduction, directed by John Singleton.</p>
