A head-on train crash in Germany’s east has killed 10 people and injured 43 others, 18 of them seriously, a German news agency has reported.
The DAPD agency cited local police as saying that a passenger and a cargo train crashed head-on near the town of Oschersleben in Saxony-Anhalt state.
It said rescue operations were under way.
Police had no immediate information as to what could have caused the accident late on Saturday evening.
