Leaders of BRICS Member and Partner Countries, Outreach Invitees and Heads of International Organisations attended the 2026 BRICS Summit in New Delhi. This year’s summit displays a powerful reflection of the growing strength and global resonance of the BRICS family connected by a shared vision of cooperation, furthering the spirit of partnership and progress.
India, a founding member of BRICS has does not want the BRICS to be a club directed against anyone as previously stated. Furthermore says that India will ensure BRICS is non-Western, but not anti-Western. India ensures strategic agency for the Global South.
At the core of BRICSs stand the two giant nations. China – India relations is the core pillar of the BRICS – indispensable to the joint strength of the Global South. President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Narendra Modi met and decided to strengthen business ties, improve transport links and address barriers to trade.
Under PM Modi’s leadership, India demonstrates its ability to bring diverse nations together through dialogue, cooperation and mutual respect as India is increasingly becoming a bridge between different parts of the world.
