Wildfires in California have forced 82,000 people to flee their homes.

US authorities have ordered mass evacuations after the blaze which which was started by an unprecedented drought.

More than 9,000 acres have been scorched in in San Bernardino County and Governor Jerry Brown has declared a state of emergency.

Hundreds of firefighters are battling at least 8 separate blazes.

One has forced two major roads to close – including the main route between Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
Firefighters say the flames are spreading quickly.
