Adele announced her first single Hello from upcoming album 25 during the ad break for The X Factor.
Now she’s snuck her latest single When We Were Young out on her YouTube channel.
The atmospheric ballad has already racked up over 250,000 hits and rising since it premiered.
Accompanied by a four-part band and two backing singers, the video shows Adele, dressed all in black, performing the track at The Church Studios in London where parts of 25 were recorded.
As the video begins, we see Adele chatting with her band and perfecting her hair and make-up.
The chorus starts: “You still look like a movie/ You still sound like a song/ My God, this reminds me/ Of when we were young,” before launching into powerful, soaring lyrics.
“Let me photograph you in this light/ In case it is the last time/ That we might be exactly like we were/ Before we realised/ We were sad of getting old/ It made us restless/ It was just like a movie/ It was just like a song,” she sings.
At the end of the video, we get to see Adele joking around with her band as she pulls her microphone out of the stand with a flourish and says: “I’ve never done that in my life. It’s a whole new me.
In her recent interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Adele said that When You Were Young was her favourite song from the album.
She co-wrote the track with Tobias Jesso Jr, a Canadian musician.
Her album 25 will be available on November 25.
