Johnny Depp’s wife Amber Heard has been charged with illegally bringing the couple’s dogs to Australia.
Prosecutors have said Amber was charged this week with two counts of illegally importing Pistol and Boo into Australia and one count of producing a false document.
The charges come two months after the nation’s agriculture minister ordered the pooches to leave or face death.
They carry a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and fines of more than 100,000 Australian dollars (£47,000).
The doggie debacle began in May, after agriculture minister Barnaby Joyce accused the couple of smuggling the dogs aboard Johnny’s private jet when he returned to Australia to resume filming of the fifth movie in the Pirates Of The Caribbean series.
Amber is due to appear in court on September 7.
