A six-month-old girl has died after being thrown from the window of a New York City apartment building.
New York Police Department said the baby died after being tossed from a sixth-floor apartment in the Fordham Heights neighbourhood of the Bronx.
A 27-year-old woman believed to be the child’s mother was in the apartment with four children at the time.
The three other children were taken to hospital, although they were not injured.
Police said the woman was also taken to hospital for evaluation. No charges have been filed.
This is the third death of a child thrown from a New York apartment since August.
