Halle Berry has reportedly returned to romantic comedy New Year’s Eve, but is said to be taking a smaller role.
The Monster’s Ball actress had pulled out because of a custody battle over two-year-old daughter Nahla, and was replaced by Katherine Heigl, but she was able to step back in with a smaller role, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Her new part in the romantic comedy apparently sees her playing a nurse in New York, where she will appear alongside the star-studded cast that includes Sarah Jessica Parker, Zac Efron, Hilary Swank, Ashton Kutcher, Lea Michelle and Robert De Niro.
Watchmen actress Carla Gugino has also joined the cast.
Carla, who next appears in Zack Snyder’s Sucker Punch, would portray a doctor, and is expected to act alongside Jessica Biel and Seth Meyers.
