Billy Bob proud of director Jolie

Billy Bob Thornton has said he is very proud ex-wife Angelina Jolie has branched out into directing.

Angelina has recently been filming her directorial debut, a love story set in Bosnia, and the Bad Santa star, who wrote and directed his films Sling Blade and Daddy And Them, can’t wait to see the finished project.

Billy Bob told Total Film magazine: “I’ve talked to her several times and boy, I’m so happy and proud of her because she should be writing and directing. I got a feeling that she’s gonna turn out something real special.”

Billy revealed he didn’t offer Angelina any advice, just support.

He said: “I don’t know where I gave her any advice, she’s way smarter than I am.

“I just say ‘Hey, I hope you’re holding up OK because I know how hard it is directing a movie’.

“I don’t give her any advice because she doesn’t need any. But once I get to direct my next movie, maybe I’ll ask her for some. You never know…”
