At least 10 people died when a car bomb exploded outside a hospital in north-western Pakistan.
Police said the blast partially damaged a Shiite hospital under construction in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
Several people were reported wounded.
The attack comes just a day after the start of the holy month of Muharram, especially important for Shiites. Muharram is often marred by bomb attacks by extremist Sunni militant groups aimed at Shiites.
