The Coen brothers could be turning their hands to horror.
Joel and Ethan Coen have been Oscar-nominated for their latest offering, the western True Grit.
Asked whether he’d ever consider doing a full-on horror movie, Ethan told Empire magazine: “Funny you should ask, yes, we’re working on a couple of scripts now, one of which it would be fair to call a full-on horror movie.”
He joked of his brother’s actress wife: “Frances McDormand is the monster.”
Empire said that while he was not being serious about Frances, who appeared in the Coen brothers’ film Blood Simple, Ethan sounded sincere about making a horror film.
