Daniel Craig and David Oyelowo are set to swap the big screen for the stage by appearing in a production of Othello in the US.
The James Bond star and Selma actor are heading off-Broadway for a version of William Shakespeare’s tragedy at New York Theatre Workshop.
Sam Gold, a Tony-winner for Fun Home will direct the play, with David playing the title role as the general driven mad by doubts of his wife’s fidelity. Daniel will swap his super spy 007 role to play the villain Iago.
The show is set to run in autumn 2016 and additional casting will be announced later.
Daniel is currently gearing up for the release of latest Bond film Spectre next month, while David is next slated to co-star with Zoe Saldana in Nina, about singer Nina Simone.
