The Eiffel Tower has been shut by a staff strike in France that could go on for days.
Workers are protesting over the suspension of a colleague and say their action is open-ended.
A spokeswoman for Paris’ most-visited tourist site would not give details other than to say a supervisor was suspended as a precautionary measure.
The tower should be open every day but has been shut several times recently by bomb alerts, heavy snow and a nationwide strike against raising the retirement age.
The tower recorded nearly seven million visits last year.
