Belgian prosecutors said three people were detained in the latest raids in Brussels prompted by the arrest of a Frenchman in the Paris area suspected of plotting a new attack.
The federal prosecutor’s office said the three were arrested today in three different districts of the Belgian capital – Schaerbeek, Forest and Saint-Gilles.
Sky News reports Belguim police have carried out another raid and a man has been ‘neutralised’.
State broadcaster RTBF said multiple police operations are under way in Schaerbeek, and one person has been detained.
It also said one explosion was heard at the start of the operation and cited witnesses describing gunfire.
A total of ten people have now been arrested in connection with the Brussels terror attacks in the last 48 hours.
Six were arrested in Brussels last night, two people were detained in Germany today, one in Paris yesterday and one man in Brussels this afternoon.
