The widley known cartoon, Pokémon, opened its first flagship store October 18th. Westfield Shepherd’s Bush had fans lining up Monday to get a glimpse of the new Pokémon London Centre.
Upon the grand opening, some fans arrived 5 hours early and still waited for hours before entering. Many visitors arrived dressed casually while some decided to show spirit and dwell in a bit of cosplay.

We asked a couple of members of the line what motivates them to wait so long to visit the store. “It’s the first time it’s in London. It’s very exciting!”
Ordering Pokémon merchandise used to be a challenge for British customers. The fan added: “Normally theres only a certain number of plushies or a certain kind of Pokémon plushie … it will be very exciting to see all the ones they’ve got in there.”
The Pokémon merchandise sold was mostly found on websites like Ebay and Amazon, so we can expect to see fans switch up their purchasing methods soon.
