Greek PM in Brussels for final bailout deal attempt

Must read

Greek PM Alexis Tsipras has flown to Brussels in hopes of clinching a bailout deal that might keep his country from defaulting on its debt and falling out of the euro currency bloc.

The 18 other nations using the euro and the International Monetary Fund will seek to build on the guarded welcome they had for the latest set of tax and austerity proposals that Athens proposed.

European government leaders will then discuss the issue at a summit Thursday.

Greece has a €1.6 billion debt to pay on Tuesday and it cannot afford it unless it unfreezes the €7.2 billion in bailout money from creditors.
