<p>Helena Bonham Carter has predicted that her Oscar night outfit will be &#8220;a catastrophe&#8221;.</p>
<p>The actress is well known for her individual sense of style, and she is certainly not promising to tone it down come Oscar night.</p>
<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s probably going to be a catastrophe, but I&#8217;m going to go for it,&#8221; she said during the Oscar Nominees Luncheon in Beverly Hills.</p>
<p>However the actress, who famously wore mismatched shoes for the Golden Globes ceremony, said she still had &#8216;no idea&#8217; what she would wear for the big day.</p>
<p>&#8220;There&#8217;s always indecision,&#8221; she said. &#8220;Of course I want to have fun. I promise you I&#8217;ll wear the same colour shoes.</p>
<p>&#8220;Quite frankly, as my boyfriend [director Tim Burton] knows, right up to the last minute it can go wrong at any time,&#8221; she added. &#8220;I can be going quite good, then suddenly I can go off piste. We&#8217;ll see.&#8221;</p>
<p>Helena has been nominated for playing the Queen Mother in the King&#8217;s Speech, and admitted she found it daunting to take on such an iconic role.</p>
<p>&#8220;When they first approached me, I wanted to play George because I thought that was the best part,&#8221; she joked.</p>
<p>And she didn&#8217;t have that much time to research for the film, which has scored an impressive 12 Oscar nominations.</p>
<p>&#8220;I only had three weeks,&#8221; she said. &#8220;As we all know the Queen Mother lived for such a long time so every biography is at least five inches thick. I took a short cut and I talked to [Queen Mother&#8217;s biographer] Hugo Vickers.&#8221;</p>
