Nathan Followill, pictured with his brother Caleb, needs surgery

Kings of Leon have been forced to postpone several international tour dates because their drummer is injured.

A news release from the rock band revealed Nathan Followill’s surgery for a torn right bicep will force rescheduling of tours in South Africa and Australia until October and November.

The surgery will require several months of rehabilitation, but Nathan is expected to play all shows with the group this spring, starting with the Coachella festival in April and including European dates in May, June and July.

Spokesman Ken Weinstein said the musician hurt himself while working out.

Kings of Leon, made up of Nathan, his brothers Caleb and Jared and cousin Matthew, are up for two Grammy Awards on February 13.
