Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have got married at an intimate ceremony in Los Angeles.
Nicole’s publicist confirmed that the 29-year-old socialite and her long-time boyfriend tied the knot on Saturday in LA.
Joel, 31, fronts the band Good Charlotte.
Hello reports that just 30 guests were invited to the ceremony, but that a trained elephant was brought in to entertain the party.
A source said: “They’re going all out with the decor. Nicole wanted a memorable, elegant affair for only their closest friends and family on their special day.”
The couple, who dated for more than four years, have a two-year-old daughter, Harlow Winter Kate, and a 15-month-old son, Sparrow Midnight.
Nicole, whose father is singer Lionel Richie, won national attention co-starring on TV’s The Simple Life with Paris Hilton and has since been a staple in the tabloids. She has recently taken to writing books and designing clothes.
Nicole has her own fashion line, Winter Kate, and a shoe and accessories line, House of Harlow.
