One person is dead and an active shooter is on the loose in a community west of Ottawa, Ontario Provincial Police say.
OPP spokeswoman Kristine Rae said residents in the area should remain in their homes and report any suspicious activity.
No other details were immediately available.
The shooting happened in the community of Wilno, about 111 miles west of the Canadian capital of Ottawa.
