Fighting erupted in Ukraine’s parliament today after an opposition politician presented their Prime Minister Arseny Yatsenyuk with a bouquet of roses and tried to carry him away from the podium.
Russia Today reports that a brawl started between politicians from the president’s Petro Poroshenko Bloc (PPB) and Yatsenyuk’s People’s Front (PF).
Video shows Oleg Barna of the PPB going up to the podium during Yatsenyuk’s speech and giving him a bouquet of roses before trying to carry him away.
Barna’s actions led to brawl between members of both parties that went on for several minutes.
Yatsenyuk told the PPB speaker: “Please, I’m not upset, so there are lots of morons – let’s finish with the questions to the government.”
Oleg Barna was later suspended from the Verkhovna Rada.
