It’s normal for your house to experience the odd blackout, but whole parts of a city like London switched off? That’s exactly what happened in Soho on Friday night.
Safe to say it looks pretty weird seeing a normally busy and bustling area of central London in complete darkness.
It’s not enough to deter some watering holes in the area, but hopefully anyone heading there has been eating their fair share of carrots lately.
As you can probably imagine, those who weren’t opting for candlelit drinks found themselves firmly in commuter hell.

UK Power Networks said that “engineers are now on site” and have started investigations into the cause of the blackout.
Now while we wait for the lights to come on, all we’ve got to do is avoid the inevitable Black Friday gags that will come rolling in.
